Hold on to your hearts Yorkie lovers%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|.This pair of Virginia Gents are Looking for Love! No%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|.They aren't 'The Odd Couple.' They are Ricky and Scout and bonded pair of Yorkie BFFs being fostered in Salem, VA. Scout is the bigger fella. He is 10 perfect years old and weighs 14 pounds. His little sidekick is Ricky, a very healthy 14 year old, 7 pounder. These two have been together for Scout's entire life. They obviously are a 'Perfect Pair' and we are looking for a very special person to give both of them the fur-ever together home they deserve. Scout is the extrovert. He enjoys ... (Read More)going for car rides and LOVES being with his human, preferably snuggled up close getting belly rubs and attention. He is not a fan of being crated as this causes him a lot of anxiety. He would love a fenced yard to romp, but frequent leash walks would also work. He is house-trained and has great indoor manners. Scout is very smart and he is taking classes to learn commands. He LOVES to get his treat rewards when he does a good job. He also loves to play with squeaky toys especially when his human plays along. He does great with other dogs. Ricky is Scout's best buddy and is the Yen to Scout's Yang. Ricky prefers to chill out in his soft bed and while away the hours napping and snoring. He isn't quite the cuddler that Scout is but he does love to be petted and is a huge fan of yummy treats! Due to his age Ricky needs to be taken out frequently to prevent accidents or he can wear a belly band to help with that too. Ricky is not a fan of steps so he needs a single story home or a person who doesn't mind giving him a 'lift' up and down the stairs. He is also a bit hard of hearing which is expected for his age but he is a very healthy 14 year old. He just had a dental and only lost one tooth! Ricky is just a sweet, lovable senior who needs a person to love him and his best pal Scout. Scout and Ricky are up to date on all care, completely healthy and ready for adoption. They would be great with a retired person or couple or a 'works from home' human. No small children please due to Ricky's advanced years. Neither have been cat tested but they are great with other small dogs. Scout and Ricky have been together their entire lives. They lost the only home they have ever known and they need to stay together now. If this adorable pair speaks to your heart and you think you are their perfect person please apply to adopt them today or email their foster Mom for additional information at Srodabaugh@yahoo.com (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Virginia
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

lnteresting Yorkie Trivia Low-Cost Virginia Spay & Neuter Clinics
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Yorkies were probably developed by Scotsmen working in Yorkshire, England. Piebald Yorkies came about by an accident of genetics in 1984 and are now considered a separate breed, the Biewer Yorkie.
