Rescue Me ID: 18-02-26-00512Kota (male)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

He is a great 4.5 year old dog, we got him when he was 8 wks old. Kota has had a hard time adjusting to sharing mom since his human sister was born 2 yrs ago. He is a very loyal dog and loves to be spoiled and sit in your lap. He's completely trained and listens fairly well. He's usually a very calm dog but does get excited when we return home. He loves to sleep and lay around, but also loves to run and play outside occasionally. Kota has kind of removed himself and almost acts depressed even more since we had another baby last month. He is fine with kids just has a jealousy issue towards our kids. I miss seeing his happy go lucky ... (Read More)personality and want him to feel loved again. Ideally someone with no kids and will hangout and watch tv with him on their lap. (13 lbs) (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Utah
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

lnteresting Yorkie Trivia Low-Cost Utah Spay & Neuter Clinics
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Yorkies were probably developed by Scotsmen working in Yorkshire, England. Yorkies used to be much larger but have gradually been bred down to become a miniature breed. Yorkies have been popular ladies' lap dogs for many years.
