    Gizmo was rescued from San Antonio Animal Care Services after being picked up as a stray. Gizmo was put on a rescue hold by SNIPSA, but then a family committed to adopting him only to change their minds a few days later! We wish we could have sprung him earlier but are joyous that we had the opportunity to save this boys life! Gizmo is a happy little boy that gets along well with other dogs and loves play time with the dogs and kids in his foster home. Gizmo will be happy with a home with equal parts play time and snuggle time.

    Prince is 12 years old and a very sweet boy. His favorite thing to do is lay next to you or in your lap and cuddle. He would be perfect in a household with someone that is retired or can spend a lot of time loving on him. He gets very anxious when he hears the doorbell and when a lot of people are in the house. He has a partially collapsed trachea so when he gets anxious he 'hacks' or 'coughs' loudly. Please help me find Prince a good home!

My granddaughter has recently started staying overnight and I have to put Laci in her kennel while she is there. I want her to find a home where she does not have to be put up all of the time. She is aggressive when it comes to other female dogs. She is good with cats. She has not been spayed, but I am willing to pay for the procedure.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Texas
    Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

    Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Yorkies were probably developed by Scotsmen working in Yorkshire, England. Piebald Yorkies came about by an accident of genetics in 1984 and are now considered a separate breed, the Biewer Yorkie. Yorkies used to be much larger but have gradually been bred down to become a miniature breed. Yorkies have been popular ladies' lap dogs for many years.
