Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Daisy. I am a Yorkie Mix. I am around 1 year old. Running and playing in my foster family's yard is one of my favorite things to do. It doesn't matter if it is raining or sunny... I like to be outside! I like to go on walks and hikes with my foster family. I do potty on and off leash. I am crate trained. I sleep in my nice warm crate at night and sometimes during the day. My foster mom said I am 80% potty trained. Sometimes my foster mom misses my cues to go outside, but, I will do better getting her attention. I am a bundle of energy when I am outside, but when I'm inside I like to cuddle up with my ... (Read More)foster family on the couch. I play well with kids and with other dogs. I do run a bit funny. When I run both my back legs go up at the same time. My foster mom said although it is a unique quality I have, I needed a vet to look at me to make sure my legs and hip are healthy. The vet took images of my back end. The doctor said that the x-rays don't show any trauma, thank goodness. However, the vet noticed when I walk my right hind leg is slightly crooked. They said this could have happened because of birth trauma or nutritional deficiency at a young age. The vet told my foster mom to give me an inexpensive nutritional supplement that I chew up every morning to keep my bones strong as I get older. If you have any questions or would like to meet me please contact my foster mom at the link found at I would love to meet you! If you think I'm the pup for you, please complete an application at (Less)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is Daisy. I am a 7-month-old possible yorkie/jack russell or rat terrier mix. I was a returned to a well-known pet shop by my original owners and there I contracted parvo. I was sent to a vet clinic for a doubtful recovery. But I did make a very full recovery as well as some very loving friends, one of whom decided to foster me rather than letting me go back into the system (the pet store's so-called 'adoption program'). It took me just a few minutes in my foster family's home to get over my fear aggression and learn to be a happy, loving puppy to my foster sisters (a 2-yr-old little girl, a 9-yr-old golden retriever and an ... (Read More)8-yr-old beagle). I am somewhat potty-trained, but I do have the occasional accident because I like to play outside and sometimes forget to do my business. But I am getting better day by day. I have become a great family dog and I would love to find a forever family, preferably with other doggie companions who love to play, play, play. I spend most of my energy wrestling with my best friend, the beagle. My foster doggie sisters have been very good at teaching me the proper ways to behave in a home. I also love to chew and need lots of chew toys around and gentle guidance to the right ones. While I like cats, they never seem as interested in playing with me, so I would probably do best with easy-going cat friends rather than more skittish kitties. I will need to be spayed and have 2 baby teeth removed, but other than that I am healthy and up-to-date on all of my vaccines. If you are looking for a forever friend with lots of love and play to give, please consider me. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-20-00258Bo (male)

Yorkie    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Bo is a very possessive dog and can be aggressive with men and children. He has been with us for five years but prior to us we were told he was abused. I believe it was by a male as he does not like my husband and is very possessive of me. I provide childcare in my home and I cannot take a chance of him being aggressive with the kids and have to keep him separate from everyone a good part of the day. I'd prefer he has a home that will not cause him to be anxious. He's a very sweet and loving lap dog and if you know how to handle him he can be a very good dog. However, he is known to bite anyone that comes at him in a quick manner (which ... (Read More)small kids tend to do). Someone who knows how to relate with Yorkies could provide a good home for Bo. PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Ohio
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

lnteresting Yorkie Trivia Low-Cost Ohio Spay & Neuter Clinics
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Piebald Yorkies came about by an accident of genetics in 1984 and are now considered a separate breed, the Biewer Yorkie.
