Rescue Me ID: 17-03-21-00001Biscuit (male)

Yorkie    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Biscuit is a 5 year old, male, Yorkshire Terrier. He is current on shots, including rabies, hw negative, and has been neutered. Biscuit is a small boy, weighing in at 3 lbs, and is as cute as can be. He is a great lap and companion dog and would do very well in an elderly person/ couples home, as he is a very laid back boy, sometimes acting like an old man himself. He does need to be worked with on house training and he does not like children and will snap at them if they try to touch him. Other than these two issues, he is a great boy and would be a great addition to any home without children, or at least only older children, and will work ... (Read More)with him on house training. If interested, please contact us for an application. Our rescue does not go by a first come, first serve basis. We process the applications that come in, and choose the best home for each dog. However, we also do not hold dogs. They are ready to be adopted now. After a dog is adopted, we can then rescue another dog in need. Thank you for choosing a rescue dog. (Less)

Animal ID: 17-018Diego (male)

Yorkie    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Diego is fostered in Vista California, through United Yorkie Rescue. Diego is a 10 year old, 11 lb. little bundle of joy, a sweet boy and is 1/2 of a bonded pair. Diego's buddy PJ is a 10 year old, 8 lb. boy. Diego and PJ have the best personalities and love to give kisses. Diego loves to bounce around and play with his buddy and is looking forward to finding a place to call home. Although Diego doesn't have very many teeth, he has no trouble eating and loves food. Unfortunately he loves it a little bit too much and has been given plenty, so he needs to lose a pound or two. The vet has diagnosed hypothyroidism ... (Read More)which is what is causing him to stay a little on the husky side. He's started medication which will need to be regulated, and may be a life commitment. His buddy PJ also turned out to have hypothyroidism, but it affects him differently. PJ and Diego are on the same medication in a different dose, which makes it easier. PJ and Diego are truly bonded and give each other kisses all the time (which it just too cute and neither of them have very many teeth). You would never know their age by their behavior; they play with each other and run around with their other foster brother. Diego (and PJ) are the cutest little loves, and we hope they find a warm loving home they can settle into very soon.To complete an application for Diego (and PJ) go to: (Less)

If she is sitting on the couch I am always right in her lap. I love to snuggle & I love to be held! I am great with other dogs, I like cats & I am crate trained!! His teeth are horrible and his mouth infected that it was effecting his sinsus and making his eye goopy. PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Ohio
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

lnteresting Yorkie Trivia Low-Cost Ohio Spay & Neuter Clinics
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Yorkies were probably developed by Scotsmen working in Yorkshire, England. Piebald Yorkies came about by an accident of genetics in 1984 and are now considered a separate breed, the Biewer Yorkie. Yorkies have been popular ladies' lap dogs for many years.
