We rescued Roxy from running around our neighborhood. She is a great dog. She is housebroken. She will not be adopted out until I get her shots up to date (which her appointment is March 15th). We really wanted to keep her but we have three dogs and a fourth is just too much for us. She has to be watched like a hawk when outside in a fenced in area because she is a fence jumper and climber.

Animal ID: PPR16-97Beau (male)
Hello - meet our Beau! He is an active 2-year-old male Yorkshire/Silky Terrier mix who weighs 14 lbs. Beau is silver and tan in color. Beau was rescued from a local shelter in Ohio as a stray. When he arrived, he was ill with kennel cough which he was treated for 3 weeks and he has overcome. He had some hair loss on his back side and legs which is now coming back in, but does still have some leathery skin on the inside of his legs. This condition is called Seborrheic Dermatitis per the vet. We believe that, just like the other hair which has grown back, in due time. he will be healed completely. Beau has been neutered, updated on all his vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tested (results negative) and micro-chipped. Beau was extremely timid when he first arrived and we have given him much needed time to heal from skin issues and time to feel secure in his new environment. He still has a ways to go, but he has made excellent progress. He made his first appearance at a Petco event on 2/4/17 and he seemed very comfortable being around people and having kids pet him. Beau did a wonderful job. We feel confident that he's ready to start looking for his ideal home. Beau does well on car rides and walking on a leash (he is making great progress). He gets along with other dogs at his foster home. We do not know about cats as he hasn't been around them. He will need continued help/patience on his house-training. He appears to be crate-trained. He doesn't mind wearing a belly band if needed. His ideal home would be with a couple who has older children with a fenced-in back yard. He needs a family who is willing to give him a chance to prove himself a wonderful family companion. He is a sweet fella who deserves a family of his very own to love. If you have any questions please contact the foster home at the link found at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Dogs_Beau1697.html. Fill out an application if you are interested in adopting this pup - you can find those at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Applications.html. (Email the foster home and let them know you applied so they can be sure the application is received!) Beau just can't wait to find a forever home! Thanks!!! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-08-00232Roxie (male)
Roxie is 5 years of age. No health problems. Loves to play fetch. Is mostly house trained, but is a marker if you have others that go in the house. She is also pad trained. Has only lived in an adult home, not sure about her with young children. I am moving and having to find a good home for Roxie. Prefer home with a fenced in yard, as she likes the outdoors.

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-21-00507Clyde (male)
Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info) Adoption Fee: 150.00 Species: Dog Current Size: 5 Pounds Current Age: 12 Years 2 Months (best estimate) Location: NE Ohio Housetrained: No Exercise Needs: Moderate Reaction to New People: Friendly Clyde had his dental cleaning and has 1 tooth left. While they were removing a loose tooth his jaw fractured. He has some bone loss The vet stitched the small fracture in place and we'll monitor it to make sure it does not cause any further problems. He will be on canned food and soft treats from now on. Alopecia - hair loss on his legs This little stinker is Clyde, who along with Bonnie, were taken to a shelter to be euthanized since their owner passed and the son didn't want them. Thankfully the shelter didn't feel that way and an awesome angel pulled them from the shelter. Stinky and nails curling under, his angel bathed him and trimmed his nails to help him feel more comfortable before helping transport him to us. His teeth are horrible and his mouth infected that it was effecting his sinsus and making his eye goopy. He is on antibiotics to clear up some of the infection before having his teeth cleaned and some removed. He does have some teeth missing now and a part of his tongue has a piece missing from where his tooth was. He is missing hair on the bottom part of his legs. We will be doing blood work on him to see if we can determine what is causing it. Clyde is a sweet boy who loves attention and a soft warm bed. He likes to climb up on the back of the couch to watch what is going on in the house. Clyde would be a great for someone that wants a lap dog or a shadow. He is a little cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to please his people Clyde could use some more Angels to help pay for his medical bills since dentals are expensive but very necessary. More about Clyde Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good for Seniors/Elderly, Apartment OK Special Needs: Small fracture of the right side of his jaw (Less)

Meet Jodie! She is a 12+ year old Yorkie that comes to us from a Georgia Shelter. She is blind and missing most of her teeth but she's quite the spry little old lady. She gets around very well and is quite active for her age. She also gets along well with the other dogs and cats in her foster home, loves to dress up, and loves to snuggle. She is looking for a forever home that will spoil and love her in her senior years. Is that you? Please submit an application at www.sophiasgracefoundation.org

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-15-00088Oliver & Buttercup (male)
Meet Oliver and Buttercup! Oliver is a 5 year old YorkiePoo and Buttercup is a 10 year old Poodle and they are a bonded pair. They are sweet as can be, love to be loved on and very well behaved. They are housetrained, they don't beg for food, and they are wonderful lap dogs. Buttercup does have cataracts and has difficulty with things moving quickly around her. As a result we feel a home with older children or no children would be best. They are fine with cats and other dogs although they can be protective of one another. Do you have room in your home and in your heart for this sweet pair? Please apply at www.sophiasgracefoundation.org (Less)

Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
