|Rescue Me ID: 17-04-23-00322Little Z (male)|
Meet Little Z! He is a precious, senior Yorkie in search of his forever home! He was rescued from a serious neglect case along with his senior sissy Keke. They are very very bonded, but do not have to be adopted together. When they came to us, they had basically no hair from chronic skin infections and fleas- they were living outside in the elements, and he did not get the care and nutrition he needed, so he has developed cataracts that leave him only able to see shadows. However, he is now fully recovered from all except his cataracts, but being mostly non-visual does not slow him down. He has a full wardrobe, and likes to always have a sweater or his PJ's on. He is pee pad trained, absolutely loves his crate, and loves to play outside in the grass. He is very, very, very sweet and snuggly and prefers to be held all the time. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly! If you are interested in giving this guy the love and attention he deserves in his senior years, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on Little Z and/or his sister KeKe. |Rescue Me ID: 17-04-18-00445TN Toby (male)|
TN Toby is a 3 year old, 11 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Winston Salem NC. TN Toby came to his North Carolina foster home with his new sight. Cataract surgery successful in one eye only, this little guy could not be happier. He was like a bull out of the gate as he was able to free run at foster mom's fenced in back yard for the very first time, and run he did. He could see all of his foster brothers and keep up with them dodging the trees and each other. Rowdy and feisty, this little boy busted that cone within his first 2 hours of play! Oh well, foster mom was ready with the tape, as Roscoe gave her plenty of time to manage those cracks and tears of that cone. With his cone all back together, Toby paused for a second to stop and smell the azaleas and say hi to all who have supported him and walked his path, he is happy to let you all know, he's running now . . . and he is fearless. Toby's condition will be monitored closely and he will return to NC State Veterinary Hospital this week for his first check up. Toby is currently receiving a regiment of eye drops at 4, 6 and 12 hour intervals, but he is doing wonderfully in allowing foster mom to apply. For more pics and fun videos as Toby discovers sight, drop by on foster mom's Facebook page; A NC Yorkie Rescue. If you would like to donate to TN Toby's rising medical cost please and if you would like to assist with his mounting vet bills, please do so by clicking the Looking For Love link http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/?page_id=2 then scroll to NC and look cate TN Toby's Bio. There is a PayPal button beneath his story. TN Toby thanks you. (Less)

|Animal ID: 17-017Max (male)|
MAX (NORTH CAROLINA) Max is all ready for forever. He is such a smart little guy, why he can even open up the sliding glass doors into the dining room! He is so much fun, and so very loving. He loves to play with his toys, balls, and people. He gets along with older children, and could be an acceptable pet in a home with children 11 years of age or older. Max is a perfect car rider, he is great on the grooming table, and he enjoys sleeping at the foot of the bed. He is selective with his pup friends as he is somewhat of an Alpha dog, but enjoys playing with most dogs and tolerates the cat. Max will require a sizable fenced in yard, and possibly a companion dog of his size or a little larger of his liking. He loves to run and he is quite fast. Max's only flaw is what I have tagged him as a 'runner'. He bolts at an open door or gate to the outside. Therefore, Max must have a fenced area to his outside access in order to keep him safe as his adrenaline overcomes his sense of direction and he just runs and does not look where he is going, he quickly becomes gone. A beautiful Yorkie with striking appearance and color. Max has had a complete dental, neutered and is up to date on all of his shots/vaccinations. See more pics and videos of Max at foster mom Facebook page: A NC Yorkie Rescue or contact foster mom at email@example.com (Less)

3/26/2017 Update Roscoe's future is so bright he's gotta get him some shades! Yes sir, this is one happy little pup because . . . . the cone is gone and well you might say he's just busted out of his shell. His tail wags, he plays with the other pups, he jumps and runs with his foster brothers and well, he's just a ray of sunshine. He is doing fantastic after his cataract surgery (thank you all very much)! AND he has learned to cope with his eye drops, stands still as he can while foster mom drops them in the corner of his eyes. Then he's off to run and play again. House broken, does well on a leash, joins right in barking for breakfast and dinner along with his other foster brothers and he gets along well with all of them. Roscoe is still under the care NC State as he has a 3 month and 6 month return visit and will also require yearly visits for check ups. If you'd like to be this pups's lucky furever, well, he's accepting applications because he's now available for adoption. Roscoe's medical care has been rather expensive and If you would like to make a donation towards his care, please select the PayPal under his bio. For more pictures / videos of Roscoe, tune in to foster mom's facebook page: A NC Yorkie Rescue. Sheila Foster Mom Money will buy you a pretty good dog, but it won't buy you the wag of his tail. |Animal ID: 17-006Zen (male)|
ZEN (NORTH CAROLINA) Zen is a 9 year old, 15 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Winston Salem, NC Zen is doing so much better. His hernias are all healed, stiches are out and although he is still taking his carprofen 2x daily he is doing much better. He still has a small limp, but is managing quite well and Dogtor Ray and Dogtor Jeni do not think it is necessary to do any type of surgery. Zen enjoys his days laying around on the couch, and exploring the fenced in yard at foster moms. He is totally housebroken, and is quite vocal when needing to go out, just in case you forget he's around. He loves to love and cuddle and plays peek a boo with you when picked up. He is so friendly he never meets a strange person or pup. Friend to all, a bit curious of Ms. Bella the cat, but tolerates her. He loves to play with toys, balls, or person. He is an excellent car rider, he is great on the grooming table and he is just the best overall gentleman pup you will ever find. His striking poses are picture perfect. View more pics of this stunning Yorkie at foster mom's Facebook page at: A NC Yorkie Rescue or e-mail foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org Zen's vetting care has become rather expensive, and if you would like to assist with his mounting vet bills, please donate by clicking the Looking For Love link http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/?page_id=2 then scroll to NC and look cate Zen's Bio. Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
