Rescue Me ID: 15-01-03-00424Bo (male)
Bo is an adorable 9 year old who loves to be with people and is such a loving little guy. He is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly and loves to snuggle in for a good TV watching session. He is hard of hearing and low vision but it doesn't slow him down as he looks to people for cues, which works quite well for him. Because he doesn't hear well, he needs to be in a home with patient adults only, as he must be touched so as not to startle him. Bo will make a great companion to a calm family who understands that though he is hard of hearing and doesn't always come when called, he makes up for it with his loving disposition and endearing personality. He deserves a wonderful home of his own! Bo's adoption fee is sponsored, he can go to the right home for no fee! He is neutered, has had dental surgery, is microchipped, current on vaccinations, and flea/tick and heartworm prevention. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-27-00313Maggie Mae (female)
[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Updated bio 1-6-15 -- Hello everyone! My name is Maggie. I am a bundle of sweet cuteness and only 7 years old. I weight a perfect 12.4 lbs. I am being fostered in Southern Pines, NC. A lot of things have happened to me in the past ten days! I have a new foster family with new doggy siblings, a new foster dad, and a foster mom. I really like my foster parents. I had doggy siblings before, so I am used to being around other dogs. I was a little confused at first because right after leaving my previous mom, I was taken to see the dogtor. He poked me a few times with some vaccination needles and my foster mom was given some pills to help me get rid of the fleas and stop the itching. I didn't really understand it all, but I feel much better and don't have to scratch at myself like I used to! A few days later, I was right back in the dogtor's office. I don't remember much about that visit but my foster mom says that I was spayed and the boy dogs won't be chasing me around anymore. I am pretty excited about that! I have spent the past couple of days sleeping on the couch recovering from my surgery. I'm feeling pretty good, but I think I heard my foster mom say that I am going back to the dogtor in a few days to get my teeth cleaned. That's probably a good thing because my teeth are pretty sensitive and my foster parents have to wet down my dog food so that I can eat it. I spent a lot of time outside at my previous home. I don't like to spend much time out there but I do go outside to do my business. My foster mom is always so happy when I go potty outside, she claps for me and I do a little dance for her. Yesterday I took a nap on the patio furniture because I was pretty sure my foster parents weren't going to lock me out there, like what used to happen to me. And they didn't! Sometimes I have seizures. I had a small one right after arriving at my new house. My foster mom makes sure I take my medication twice a day and I haven't had one since! I like it here in NC, but I really want to find my furever home. Please consider making me a part of your family. My foster mom says that I am a sweetheart and she doesn't understand why someone would give me away. Once I get my teeth cleaned, I will be ready to move into your home! A family with no kids or kids older than 10 may be just perfect for me. Thanks for reading about me. By the way, aren't I about the cutest thing you ever saw? Initial Bio 12-26-14 Maggie Mae is United Yorkie Rescue's new Christmas gift. She is an adorable 12.4 pound yorkie sweetheart who was surrendered to us today. She is 7 years old and being fostered in NC. Maggie Mae will be taken to the vet today. We do know she has seizures, but her medication, when given regularly, has keep them under control. She was sometimes kept outside for long periods of time and has developed some skin issues possibly due to flea bites, She also needs a dental very badly. All those things and more will be taken care of in her foster home, where Maggie will be loved, and cared for, and safe. Maggie Mae was great on her car ride to her new foster home. She will be put on a healthy diet and given all the medical care she needs. Once her foster mom knows more about her and her medical needs an update will be coming soon. Maggie Mae is about the sweetest girl you could ever know. Maybe our Christmas gift can your your New Year's present. Maggie Mae deserves that and more. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-02-00217Lee (male)
My name is Lee, I am five years old and am being fostered in Angier, NC. My foster parents say that I am a favorite around here. They tell me that I'm a catch. Speaking of catch, would you throw my tennis balls to me? I could fetch for hours. Even though I brought my brother along with me, I'm not opposed to being an only child. Sometimes I demand all the attention for myself. Who could blame me? Look how cute I am. I like to play hard and then hang out by myself awhile. My brother and I love sleeping with our mom. I am house trained. I like taking several short walks during the day also. If you have the time for me, then I have plenty of kisses for you. My parents have really enjoyed my stay, but I'm ready to meet my forever family. I may be a bit shy initially, but once I settle in, I am with you forever! I have been neutered, am up to date on all of my shots and also micro-chipped. Adoption fee/donation fee apply. 12/02/2014: Diva is a 7-year old, 8 pound female being fostered in Stella, NC. Diva here: Can you believe it's almost Christmas? My foster mom says she's getting Christmas pictures done of me and my foster brother and sister. I've never had a family to do pictures with, so I'm kinda excited. My foster family is pretty big. I wonder how big my forever family will be? This picture my foster mom took is on her bed. I fall asleep here a lot. They're a good family, but I dream about having my own family. Do you dream of having a Yorkie like me? My allergies are under control, and I feel great. I'm ready to go! Hey, maybe I'll get a forever home for Christmas! I'll catch you guys later. Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
