Rescue Me ID: 15-08-28-00128Ollie (male)
Meet adorable little Ollie, all 4 lbs of him! This little guy is a total sweetheart. This baby ended up in a high kill shelter due to no fault of his own. His original owner got him when he was 8 weeks old. Years went by and she went to school, got married and then she had a baby. Once she had a baby she lost interest in little Ollie and decided to surrender him to the shelter. At the age of 12 this baby was tossed away like someone's unwanted garbage. The shelter examined him and could find nothing wrong medically other than a little trouble hearing. Actually, they had trouble believing that he was 12 years old. He doesn't look or act it at all. He is playful, loving and a little snuggler. He's simply adorable! Ollie is doing great in his foster home. He is good around other dogs. He is house trained and rides well in a car. Ollie would do best in a home with no small children because he is so tiny. Preferably with someone older that is home a lot and has the time to spend with him loving on him and giving him attention. If you think you are the right home for Ollie and would like to consider adopting him please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-09-00597Boldt (male)
Boldt was given up by his owner with no backward glance. He's sweet but sometimes shows his alpha side with other males so we will only place him in a home with female dogs or as an only fur-kid. He is a friendly boy, enjoys snuggling with his human or playing with other female dogs. He is estimated to be about 2-3 years of age, weighs 6 1/2 lbs. He's neutered, microchipped, had a dental cleaning and a couple of retained baby teeth were pulled. He had to be shaved down due to matting and was a champ on the grooming table. His breed is a chihuahua/yorkie with an adoption fee of $385. His mom is also available for adoption--Dotti, a long haired chihuahua. A visit can be scheduled with an application on file. Go to www.scratchrescue.petfinder.com, click on application link in upper right corner and fill out the on-line application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-03-00130Roxy (female)
Roxy is a very loving and special animal, once she trusts you. 'One in a million'. Roxy was a surrender after she could no longer produce as the breeder desired. 8 lbs. We think Roxy is 2 years old, is up to date on all vaccinations, micro chipped, spayed, and dental cleaning. Roxy is a wired hair and has sensitive skin. Would love to see her go to a home also with a fenced yard where she can run out her some of her energy. She needs a home that will work with her and give her the love and understanding she needs. Also needs to be introduce to new people slowly. She warmed up to her foster family nicely, but still has significant stranger anxiety. She needs a dog-savvy adopter who is willing to work on and/or manage her stranger anxiety. A home without children is recommended. A home where she can be reliably be segregated from visitors is also recommended. (or a home with few visitors) For more info or application email us. (Less)

Rocco and his sister, Gia, were pulled from a high-kill shelter shortly after mom gave birth. They've been in foster care ever since. Look how tiny and adorable he is? He's still growing so his looks may change, but his personality is sweet and calm. If interested, please submit an adoption application at www.pawprintsrescue.org. Click on ANY PICTURE of any animal and that will take you to the form you need to fill out. We are located near Raleigh, NC.

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-13-00103Kirby (male)
Meet Kirby! This adorable little guy is one of the sweetest little babies you'll ever meet. He is a little 6 lb yorkie and absolutely adorable. He is good with other dogs as well as people. He would do well with children but we prefer older children due to his tiny size. He is house trained and rides well in a car. He is a snuggler, very gentle and easy going. He loves to run and play in the yard so we are requiring a home with a fenced in yard. Little Kirby is between 7-8 years young. Kirby's adoption fee is $200. This covers all of his vaccinations, rabies, microchip, and neuter. If you are interested in adopting little Kirby please email email@example.com for an application. (Less)

Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
