Rescue Me ID: 17-12-09-00108Rollie (male)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello everyone, This is my ONE YEAR OLD MALE Rollie, he is actually part of the first litter of my Hetty (her second litter is available and posted on the site). He is a sweet and loving pup who needs a lot of love and attention. I love him to death, as well as his brother Domino (He is also available to adopt) but I can not continue to give him the attention he needs and I wish to give him to 'parents' that will love him and care for him. Please, I am a very protective pet mom and I need to know he will be taken care of. He is mainly white but has l brown on his ears and back. His birthday is on November 29th and was born around 11:00am ... (Read More)- 12:00pm with his brother. He is the second born. He is wonderful with kids, very docile and kind to my niece. So he will be great if you have 2 year olds or older. He loves to run around and play 'fetch' (he brings it to you but doesn't like to give it to you right away). He loves to chew so he deserves a lot of chew toys. He also likes to nibble or nip your fingers when he's excited you're home and he's playful. I admit, he is not completely housebroken but with more time, moderate or a lot of walks, and training, he will be good to go. He is not completely up to date with his shots. The only one he is missing is the shot for dog cough. Having four dogs to care of on my pay could not keep up with his shots. Again, not to sound dramatic, but I'm crying as I write this. I love him (and his brother) very much and as badly as I wanna keep them, I can't give him all the attention he needs. I extremely want and need him to go to a loving, affectionate home that has lots of space for him to enjoy his life to the fullest. I live in Queens county area of New York City. It would be ideal if you live in the Queens or New York area (I would to check up on him once before I say my goodbye), but will be fine if you live farther out. Please, are you the person I'm looking for to care for my baby? (Less)

Seymour Sandwich Bread was born about October 4, 2009 and weighs about 9 lbs. He is as cute as they come and has just been released from her puppy making days in a puppy mill in West Virginia. The 'millers' made a call to the humane society and said they no longer needed the services of 29 dogs and would they take them. The shelter is a kill shelter due to space and could not handle so many dogs and so they asked if we would take them. How could we not! So, we squeezed and adjusted and were able to take them all and they are doing wonderfully. Still shy, some more than others, and will need house training. Some of their teeth were ... (Read More)just horrendous and we will be have them cleaned once, but please understand that when teeth, in these small dogs, have been neglected this badly another cleaning or two is likely in the not so distant future. We love to rescue mill dogs as when you see them turn that corner and decide that they LOVE you, the human, you can see the sparkle in their eyes and it brings tears to our eyes. He is wonderful with the other dogs. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in New York
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
