Rescue Me ID: 15-11-30-00270Sassy (female)

Yorkie    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)

Sassy is a very sweet, loving, and calm girl who just wants to follow her person everywhere. She would make an excellent companion dog. She is good with cats and is fine with dogs, no matter what size, as long as they aren't constantly bugging her, like puppies would do. She is fine with kids (perhaps not toddlers), but sometimes she does need a little time to warm up to new people. She likes to sleep in bed with you or on a dog bed next to you. She would do best in a home where someone is home to take her outside every couple of hours. She is not a barker. She is a senior but pretty active and has many years left in her. She is super sweet ... (Read More)girl! She came to rescue as the the wife in the family got cancer and passed and the husband didn't like her and didn't want her anymore. They had her from a puppy. So here she ends up looking for a new home. Contact Trish at 505-907-3791 or email pacatrish@yahoo.com (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in New Mexico
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
