|Rescue Me ID: 17-12-01-00473Rambo (male)|
Meet Rambo! This handsome man is a 9 year old male Yorkie Chihuahua mix who weights approx 9lbs. He is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything he meets. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He is the perfect lap dog. He does have some allergies and must be kept on the food we have him on. It is Natural Planet and can be ordered online. When he came to us he had no hair and sores all over. He is now all healed up and his hair has grown back but he must be monitored carefully to be sure he doesn't have a relapse. He loves people and he never turns down a good belly rub. He loves to play fetch and to play with his toys and to go on long walks. He loves to play and is still full of puppy energy. He would make a great addition to just about any family! He is currently located in down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. He can't wait to find his forever home! (Less)

|Animal ID: 00018Dylan (male)|
Hello rescue buddies, It's time for an update on our precious Dylan. He was surrendered to a local shelter when his family could no longer care for him. Shelter medical tests showed that Dylan had diabetes, which also resulted in vision loss. He needed more care than the shelter could give him. Sherry's Place Rescue was contacted and asked if we could help Dylan. We picked him up, placed him in a loving foster home, and gave him the medical treatment he needed to get well. Dylan is feeling much better now that he is receiving the proper medical care. He is a special needs boy who needs an insulin injection every 12 hours to control his diabetes. Dylan also needs daily prescription eye drops. He is 6 years old, and weighs 15 pounds. Our sweet boy is now happy and active and ready to be part of a loving family who will continue to take care of his medical needs and give him the love and attention he deserves. Please visit our website www.sherrysplacerescue.org to fill out an application to adopt Dylan. (Less)

Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
