Yorkie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This fun young pup is full of energy and needs a home that can spend time with her, some walking etc. She is approximately 11-14 months of age. She only chews on her toys, nothing else. She is house trained, however, you get about 20 minutes of her patience at the door and she cant hold anymore. She crates very well. She talks a lot (kind of funny) She could easily be an escape artist from a back yard if ignored too much. Not chain link fences. She calms down and is very loving, however, she can get excited and super happy. A large family or active family would likely be best so she has lots of love. This dog WILL not be a small dog. She ... (Read More)will be about 12 lbs with long legs. She will NOT be hypoallergenic (that is just not reality) However she shed very little and she has been fostered now for 5 months. She loves the pool. She is a happy dog. (Less)

I am unable to keep this dog cause he can't go to where I'm moving to, plus health issues of my own. He is playful & active, loves to run, so a yard would be great for him.

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-02-00021Jordan (male)

Yorkie    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Abused/Neglected

Jordan was my neighbors dog and she asked that we take him because her boyfriend abused him. I think because I rescued him he was very thankful but became overly protective of me. He will not allow anyone near me and will snap at anyone that comes close. I have a huge family and that just wont work for me. I would love to find him a loving female to take care of him. I do not know if he had shots ect because she moved soon after and did not give me any information on him. I do see that he has bad teeth but dont see any other problems and I cant afford to take him to a vet.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Nevada
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

lnteresting Yorkie Trivia Low-Cost Nevada Spay & Neuter Clinics
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Yorkies were probably developed by Scotsmen working in Yorkshire, England. Yorkies used to be much larger but have gradually been bred down to become a miniature breed.
