There will be a home check and I will discuss with you Yorkies and how well you understand the breed. I prefer you have a fenced block wall back yard, do not allow doggie door. These young ladies have a lot of sweetness to share! They are 250.00 each 500.00 for the pair.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-31-00031Pochacco ('Chacco) (male)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

We have a very special little guy that we are trying to re-home. His name is Pochacco (or 'Chacco for short - sounds like taco). He's half Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier), half Chihuahua, but looks like a Papillion. He's 4 yrs old. We rescued him from an ad on Craigslist when he was 1 yr old. The reason that we are trying to find a new loving home for him is because we feel like he needs to be in an only-dog home. We currently have a pack of 4, including him, and he doesn't do well in this sort of a situation. He needs a lot of one-on-one attention that we cannot give him without neglecting the others. He's very territorial of his people. He has ... (Read More)bitten some of our other dogs and also a few humans, but fortunately he has tiny teeth that do not draw blood. For this reason, we have had to keep him separated from the other dogs we have now. The biting has usually happened when there was a lot going on or when someone tried to push him past his boundaries of comfort. This is why we think he needs a quieter, more mellow household with no other dogs or young children. Preferably an older couple or single person with experience in handling dogs. It's been a tough decision for us but we do feel this is what he deserves. We're not looking for advice on how to keep him or lectures on re-homing. We feel not all dogs are going to match each family, and sometimes a dog is a better fit or blessing to another family. We fully believe in rescuing and fostering and are not willing to put Pochacco in just any place that will take him. He loves being held, sleeping in bed with you, and sitting on your lap. He does not like children and is intolerant of strangers. It takes a lot to get into his inner circle, but once you're there, it's totally worth it. He's absolutely adorable to the ones he loves. He needs coaxing, gentle encouragement, and patience. He has one trick that he performs adorably. He loves apples, most veggies, and tiny scraps of meat as a treat. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Nevada
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
