Brie is a 9yr old, 12 lb. Yorkie girl who came to United Yorkie Rescue in May 2016. Due to circumstances out of her control, her owner was unable to care for her since having a health crisis of her own. Brie has settled in nicely with her Yorkie foster fur siblings, they have shown her the ropes and taught her when evening treat time is. Brie is on a special diet for her liver shunt, has had a flair up with allergies that the vet lady seems to have ... (Read More)under control. Since Brie has weak bladder muscles, she does have some incontinence while sleeping at night. Brie will use a puppy pad and do her business outside when offered. Brie would do well in an adult home and/or children 12 or older. Brie gets along with other dogs and was being cared for in a home with 2 pit bulls prior to coming to our home. Brie loves to be chased with her toys and continues to go into the laundry basket searching for a dirty sock to carry around. Brie loves to be with her person, cuddle and shower you with kisses, she gets very excited and his a wiggle butt when you return home.     Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.

lnteresting Yorkie Trivia Low-Cost Massachusetts Spay & Neuter Clinics
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in the mines of north England. Yorkies were probably developed by Scotsmen working in Yorkshire, England. Piebald Yorkies came about by an accident of genetics in 1984 and are now considered a separate breed, the Biewer Yorkie. Yorkies used to be much larger but have gradually been bred down to become a miniature breed. Yorkies have been popular ladies' lap dogs for many years.
