|Animal ID: 16-137Sammi Jo (female)|
Sammi Jo is fostered in Indianapolis IN 46235 through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org. To find out more about Sammi Jo, contact her foster mamma at through the question/inuiry link. Sammi Jo is a 9year old, 9lb Yorkie girl who came to United Yorkie Rescue in August 2016. Sammi loves to cuddle and sit on your lap and snuggle, and sleep with you at night (she steals the pillow). Sammi had 14 teeth pulled on 8/18. She's up to date on her shots and spayed. She loves to be with her people and is a little shadow following you from room to room during the day! She is working on potty training; she's been very timid about walking on the grass, although she never goes on the carpet. She will go on the grass when carried outside with someone standing next to her. This sweet little lady is looking for her forever home where she'll get lots of snuggles, preferably no small children in the home, and maybe a fur friend for companionship. High quality food and treats is optimal for her health and happiness! To find out more about Sammi Jo and her needs, contact his foster mamma through the question/inquiry link. |Rescue Me ID: 16-08-26-00548Maggie (female)|
Maggie came to us as a breeder surrender. She came in with her 8 week old baby boy. She is a super sweet little girl!!! Maggie will need to adjust to living in a home where she is loved instead of in a cage being used to make money. She has not had a good start to life. Thankfully the breeder she came from has down sized and Maggie was one of the lucky ones to get to leave. She is still young (3 year old ) so still very trainable. She does pick up toys to play and will go potty out doors when i take her out. She will need to go to a home that is willing to have time and patience with her. Maggie is current on her vaccinations, deworming, heartgard, and flea prevention but has not been spayed yet. If she has not been spayed before she is adopted she will begoing home on a 30 day spay contract so please make sure your vet has an opening for her. Please feel free to call, text, or email us with any questions or if you would like to make an appointment to meet / adopt. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-15-00411Santana (male)|
12 year old neutered yorkie mix. We have had him for 2 years and due to his recent health issues, we do not have the time to give him what he needs. Santana has diabetes and is on insulin shots twice a day. He is also going blind from cataracts. As we live in a small loft and we work full time, we are not available to spend time with him as often as he needs. We are also afraid he might fall down the stairs due to his eyesight. We are in no hurry to find him a home so he needs to go to a good home only. Preferably, no very small children. Would prefer somewhere with a backyard or where he will be taken outside regularly throughout the day as due to his diabetes, he needs to go out and potty a lot. We also have a full bottle of insulin, syringes, special food and his crate that we will send with him. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-04-03-00532Koko (female)|
Sweet girl. A bit wary of strangers and will growl at them. She warm up quickly. She is housetrained and if you let her warm up to you she's a friend for life. She can be food aggressive with other dogs so timed feeding in her crate are advised. I'd say no small children that will get in her face. She will be fine with kids that allow her to come to them when she's ready. This girls colors are stunning! She is an espresso color with splashes of carmel. She is sweet and warm after a couple hours. Koko is very smart. More pics of her on my rescue's Facebook page. https://m.facebook.com/katesk9s/

Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
