Rescue Me ID: 15-06-27-00419Rico (male)
Rico - 1 1/2 year old Chihuahua/Yorkie mix? We really aren't sure. What we are sure of is, that Rico sure is handsome! He weighs about 7 lbs. He can be a bit skiddish in new situations, but warms up quickly. He has so much fun playing with a chihuahua mix who is currently with our rescue. He does well with dogs, but can get a bit nippy with small children. He will do best in a home with children over the age of 14 years. He can be spunky, but not overly hyper, and loves to be held and loved on. Rico's adoption fee is $200.00. Up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

Rescue Me ID: 15-06-06-00170Izzy and Riley (male)
Hi my name is Izzy (female white bichon/westie ) and I need to find a new home for my brother Riley(yorkie) and me. We have spent some really good times at a wonderful couples home, but now they are older and its hard for them to take care of us. They rescued us years ago from some terrible situations. Poor Riley lived most of his life in a crate in the basement, and I was thrown out like a piece of trash. Please help us if you can. We would like to stay together and find a loving home just like the one we came from. All we need is someone who wants a couple forever friends. Please call Jane at 765-720-5671 if you might be interested, we would love to meet you. Love always Izzy and Riley (Less)

Animal ID: 15-051King Louie (male)
Update 6/16/15: King Louie is getting around much better now that he has his cart to help him. He loves it and absolutely flys in it!! He is currently in therapy to try and regain use of his back legs but so far he has made progress but not enough to say that he will fully walk again. We are going to continue therapy and hope for a miracle for King Louie. He currently doesn't like to go potty in his cart so his goes potty in his kennel. He also has accidents when he gets excited. He does great with his fur brothers and sisters but he does not like cats. The doctor thinks he will do better in a home as an only dog so he can get as much attention as he can. He loves to be loved on and spoiled rotten. He just wears a belly band in the house incase he gets excited so he doesn't go potty inside he doesn't mind it at all. If you would like to make King Louie apart of your family please fill out an application online at uyr.us. If you have any questions please feel free to ask us. He might be in a wheel chair but that doesn't slow him down any!! Initial Bio 04/13/15: King Louie is a 4 year old, 10 lb. male Yorkie who was sadly left at a shelter by his owners who no longer wanted him because he does not have use of his back legs. UYR stepped in and rescued this guy. Our hope is to raise enough money to get him a mobility cart so he can get around with ease. King Louie is in loving hands now and UYR plans to take great care of him and find him a wonderful forever home! (Less)

Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
