Meet Miss Bella. Bella is a Yorkie mix. Bella was saved when her owner decided they no longer wanted her and turned her in to be euthanized. Thank goodness that did not happen! Bella is a sweet girl who is anxious and nervous when left by herself, but can you blame her as she had been abandoned by someone she trusted? Bella was guessed to be around 8 based on her dental, but she does not act like it and loves to play and is full of spunk! We believe her to be younger. She does find comfort with other dogs and does much better when she has another dog to be with. Bella loves her big dog brothers/sisters at the Sanctuary. Bella also loves her crate as she finds it as a safe place. Bella is crate trained and house broken. She needs a home with another dog companion, she loves big dogs. Bella seems to do well with children. A home without cats would be best. Bella just wants to love and be loved. Can you provide Bella the perfect ending she deserves? Interested in Bella? Please complete an adoption form from our website www.animalhousesanctuary.org and email to AHSAdopt@gmail.com. Questions/Inquiries can be directed to Cindy at 609-992-6649. (Less)

|Animal ID: 17-066Ponchy (male)|
Ponchy is fostered in Indy through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org Ponchy, a 3 year old 11lb. male yorkie-mix came into rescue in March 2017 with his sister Buttercup, a 6 year old Yorkie-mix, when their family moved and they were unable to go with them. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Ponchy has had frequent ear infections over his 3 years, resulting in damage and inability to hear very much. He is very sweet, loves people and needs a home with an experienced yorkie owner who will help him work on not jumping up on people. Ponchy is basically house trained and has had very few accidents since coming to rescue, a regular schedule will benefit his potty training habits. He marked a few times the first couple days in his foster home, but has been good since. Ponchy and his sister Buttercup are excited to find their new forever home where they can settle in and enjoy a fenced yard, lots of snuggles and a high quality diet. |Animal ID: 17-065Buttercup (female)|
Buttercup is fostered in Indy through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org Buttercup is a 6 year old 11 lb. Yorkie (mix?) girl who came to United Yorkie Rescue in March 2017 with her fur sibling Yorkie-mix boy Ponchy, when the family moved and they were unable to go with. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Buttercup can be a bit timid, but loves attention! She has the most expressive eyes, is house trained about 80% of the time, partly because she has had 3 transitions in the past 3 weeks and things are still a bit scary. Buttercup tips the scales at about 11 pounds, a wee bit over a healthier weight of 9 lbs, so she'll be on watch so we can lose the extra. She loves to be outside and investigate her foster home's fenced yard. Her previous owners believed dogs only need to go outside for short visits once a day, so Buttercup is finding her new world full of wonderful smells and exciting things all around her! She never walked on a leash; her foster mamma will be working with her to master this, which should come quickly since she loves exploring. Buttercup is up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and spayed. Buttercup and Ponchy will need a fenced yard in their forever home, to provide the security and good life these two precious souls deserve. Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
