New Initial bio 1-6-15 Jade is a sweet 5 year old 6.8 lb Yorkshire Terrier female being fostered again in Suwanee, GA. Jade is back in her foster home. Sadly her forever home didn't work out. Jade was adopted and went to a loving forever home, however Jade became aggressively obsessed with the cat and after many tears her new family decided it would be best for Jade to find another home. Originally Jade came to UYR from a family who loved her enough to realize they were too busy to give her the time she needed. They wanted the best for her; which means a family that has the time to love on her, take on long walks plus play with her. ... (Read More)United Yorkie Rescue stepped in to help find Jade the PERFECT forever home she deserves. Jade is a perfect little princess and would like to be treated as such. She still has a playful nature though she is not much interested in toys. She loves to run around the backyard. Jade is very well behaved. Her house training is coming along nicely and she hasn't had an accident in the house in many days. She would much prefer going for a walk or romping around the back yard when she needs to do her business. She sleeps in bed with her owner and spends the nights curled up in between the pillows at the head of the bed where she likes to be cuddled. She rides well in the car. Jade has become aggressively obsessed with cats and so a home without a cat is a must. She is good with other dogs though and she loves to play with her foster brother puppy, Snickers. Jade is fine with children but would really rather be the center of attention all by herself or will share with a doggy playmate. Preference will be given to applicants who have a fenced yard for Jade to play in. She loves to spend time outside. Jade absolutely HATES to be crated. It is understandable to crate her for her own safety, especially at first, when leaving the house for an hour or two but regular or extended time in the crate would make Jade very unhappy. Jade politely asked to say a few words on her own behalf. Hello, I'm Jade, and I am a little confused about all this traveling. I had a nice foster home and thought I'd settle in but then I went to live with a large family of rescue pups. They also had this thing called a cat and I don't think I want to ever live with a cat again. I don't think I like them and the certainly don't seem to like me. My foster daddy promised me that he won't let me go until he finds me a forever family that can both give me all the attention I deserve and a home without a cat in it. He says I'm sweet. Isn't that sweet? I was very happy in my foster home and it was easy fitting in and I'm love to play with my little puppy foster brother (who isn't that little), Snickers. Puppies! They are so immature! I do like to play with him though. I promise I will be a good girl if you can love me and I'll love you forever and ever and ever! I'll give you kisses several times a day and dance every time you come home! I'd love to have a forever family for the rest of my life. I'm looking for you every minute every day because I know you're out there somewhere. (Less)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Malnourished,

Hello. I am looking for help with a stray furbaby. I have had Remmi, a two year old, non-neutered male Chorkie, since Nov, i rescued him from a Facebook sight as the people who found him were going to take him to animal control if no one would take him. He was in bad shape. No one wanted him. I knew then that i couldn't keep him because my landlord doesn't allow dogs, but i figured i could keep him hidden long enough to get him well and get to know him so that i could find him the right home. I have vetted him with all shots, Dewormed, no parvo or heartworms. He was just under four pounds, all bones, and severely flea infested with scabs and ... (Read More)matted hair. I bathed him, picked fleas off him, cut his hair, cut his nails, brushed his teeth, fed him chicken baby food by syringe and brought his weight up to five pounds five ounces. I bought him a small sweater wardrobe, a leash, toys, treats, crate, food, and grooming kit. Even though i hadn't planned to keep him, i wanted him to be set for his new owners when the time came. I have learned his personality and habits. Ive come to believe he is incontinent and may have other health issues. I bought baby diapers and made a wrap out of an old scarf to protect our rental home. He is very finicky, drinks a lot of water, and has seriously foul breath. He loves cats and dogs, he sits in your lap as long as you will let him. He loves baths and is especially fond of the hair dryer afterwards. He will sit for twenty minutes while i shear him with my husband's clippers and he will let me comb him without a peep. He shakes sometimes. At random he will yelp or shrill like he is in severe pain. It lasts for less than thirty seconds, then he is fine. He has done this multiple times in the last few weeks and i cant associate it with anything. I have no extra cash flow to take him to the vet right now. Im still paying for the kids Christmas. I want to find him a home that can care for him, but i have had no success. Ive reached out to a few places and they have no room for him in their programs. I dont know what else to do and am again reaching out to find help. If you have any advice for me it would be a blessing. Thank you for listening. Angela. (Less)

12/01/2014: Snickers is a 1 year old 9+ lb Yorkie mix being fostered in Suwanee, Ga just north of Atlanta. Snickers is young; he has good manners and is working hard on his house training. His original family kept him locked up by himself in a garage until one day a very nice lady with a huge heart rescued him and took him home. The trauma of being separated in the garage and away from any form of love and affection has caused Snickers to suffer from separation anxiety, which manifests in destructive behavior when left alone and has exacerbated his chewing habit. Because his hero rescuer mommy and daddy worked 8-10 hours a day, this ... (Read More)was causing Snickers a lot of unhappy days. His mommy cried when she surrendered him to UYR but she knew that he'd be happier where someone was home for most of the day. Snickers does fine in a crate for an hour or two, but after that he begins to get very anxious and often has accidents in his crate. He's just a puppy and so, while he isn't aggressive, he IS very curious about cats. His ideal home would be one where someone is home most of the day and has the time and energy to keep this puppy exercised and comforted. He'd love a home where he could run outside and play with another dog or two. Snickers loves to play! He's not a lap dog - yet - but he does like to sleep in bed with his owner and at his person's feet where, if he can get it, he will take a good scritching from any available toes. Snickers is still a puppy and loves to play! We think he'd make a great agility dog! What a wonderful way to burn energy for both owner and pet? Snickers loves to chew on his toys. It takes a sharp-eyed person to make sure Snickers only plays with and chews on his approved toys. His foster dads keep him busy with appropriate things to chew on like Bully Sticks and Antler chews (NO RAWHIDE!!). Snickers is tall for a Yorkie and has springs in his legs. He'd be a great companion for someone who loves to walk and hike; he even enjoys car rides, so someone that has an active lifestyle that accommodates an active doggy companion would be a perfect home for this playful puppy. Snickers wanted to speak for himself.......... Hi! I'm Snickers. I don't know why they call me that, but my FD says it must be because I'm the same colors as something called a Snickers bar. FD says I'm a perfect companion. I love to go on car rides and keep my FD from getting lonely. I met something called a KAT today%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD|it sure is a funny smelling dog and it hit me on my nose when all I was doing was trying to say hello. Now why would Mr. Kat do that? I just wanted to be friends! I like everyone I've met since I got out of that awful garage. All these new people have been so kind and loving to me. I'm just trying to do the same thing for them. I really can't wait to know where I'm going to be and who I'm going to love for the rest of my life. Will it be you? Please ? (Less)
