Rescue Me ID: 17-05-31-00231Rusty (male)

Yorkie    Age: Senior

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Rusty is a nice little boy who needs some extra love in his forever home. About 8 yrs old, house trained, UTD on shots, HW neg and micro chipped. Rusty is good with dogs and kids. Rusty was found as a stray in NY and brought to a high kill shelter. Rusty has very little hair, probably poor nutrition, but is sad, we think he is missing his former own. When he is out side he keep looking and runs and runs looking for some one or something, we are thinking his former owner. Who knows what happed but we do know he needs some one or a family who has patience and can give him lots of love.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Connecticut
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
