|Rescue Me ID: 14-06-16-00761Gizmo (male)|
This little boy is brought to you by the letter 'G': gentle, good-natured, gorgeous and guaranteed grateful!! Gizmo is a pint-sized guy whose twist of fate turns out to be the best thing that ever could have happened to him. Little Gizmo had been owned by someone who also owned 2 Boxers who wouldn't let little Gizmo near the food at feeding time. Being the little gentleman that he is (not to mention tiny) he never caused any trouble and always took a back seat. Thank goodness he's out of that situation and now being fostered in a loving environment where people appreciate his gracious nature! Gizmo is a true people dog and loves to hop in your lap every chance he gets -- he is a super snuggler!!! He loves walking on a leash, meeting new people, and he is great with the other dogs and the cat at his foster home (his BFF is the 100 pound Lab in the photo!). He has been around visiting school-aged children and was happy to be petted. Gizmo has had teeth issues and he had many extracted, but it doesn't stop him from eating his full portion now (unless another dog comes near, and he will still just back away). We think Gizmo is about 7 - 8 years old, he weighs almost 7 pounds, he's healthy and we'll give him one last 'G' for Greatness!!! Only an adult and older children home will be considered. He loves to go for slow walks and rides. JoJo is potty trained outside & pee pee pads. Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
