Click on 'Cat Consultation form' OR 'Dog Consultation form'. Please don't email us, if you haven't filled out an application 1st. We do not bring our small dogs to adoption events, because #1) they are normally scared to death and very nervous, not knowing what's going on with the many people coming up to the pens and hovering over them. Many shiver and shake with the unknown. #2) People adopt on impulse when they see a particularly "cute" dog/puppy. When they are adopted on impulse, reality sets in with in the 1st month of adopting it. "Oh, this puppy ate the leg off my chair, I can't have that!", or "You said this dog was house trained and it pees all over". . . and then in many cases they are returned to rescue. #3) When people have to fill out a form 1st, and read all the questions about the care of a dog/puppy, they see that there are many aspects to adopting a family member, that they may not of thought of. They also realize that it is a life time commitment. The application Is done prior to adopting, so the family understands the seriousness and responsibilities of ownership.     Here's cutie Kiti.. Approx. 1 years old. (maybe some yorkie in her??) Her story is the same as Kaci and Kami...all three were found dumped in an apartment complex. It took a couple of hours to be caught as they were all scared and didn't know what was happening to them. When they got to the foster home, they stayed on the couch for about a day, allowing the other foster dogs to come to them to say hi... They started interacting and wanted to go in bed with the foster for cuddle time. All of them picked up the doggy door real fast. Kami is the protector of the other 2. very loving little one. Kiti is a bit shy at first and will usually bark ... (Read More)at strangers when she 1st sees them. Rescue is desperately seeking foster homes for SMALL dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. We currently need volunteers for these Departments: Foster Homes, Transporters, Groomer, Adoption Center, Donation Station and Fund-raisers. FOSTERING: We take in 'small' dogs, puppies, cats and kittens to foster. The fosters DO NOT pay out of pocket for expenses while fostering ANY animals in our Rescue. This is a common misconception. The Rescue pays for everything necessary. We also accommodate for time away*. *Some of our best fosters have been the winter visitors, who may only be able to take in dogs for 3-4 months. TRANSPORTERS: A person designated to take the dogs and cats for their vetting, (spay/neuter etc), grooming and sometimes to pick up and drop off at adoption events when the fosters are unable to bring them. Transporters may also pick up new strays/owner surrenders etc. and taking them to their foster home. This position will pay mileage. FUND-RAISERS: Anything to help bring in funds to our non-profit Rescue. You will earn 10% of the money brought in to help the animals for each event! GROOMER: A skilled groomer with their own grooming equipment that can groom/bathe/clip nails on small dogs/puppies. We will supply the shampoo/towels etc. We would bring them to your location in the east valley. (Less)

Warren is a great dog. We are heartbroken to have to find him a new home but we are moving cross country and I am pregnant and have a 2 & 3 year old. We just can't take warren with us and he honestly deserves more than what we are able to give him. He loves walks and playing. He is crate trained but doesn't like to be in at night, he prefers to be close to his owner. Great companion.

Hi! My name is Willie and I am a sweet little Yorkie boy who is 6 years old and I weigh 5 lbs. I have always lived in a cage until I was rescued by a nice lady at an auction and now I have lots to eat, a soft bed, and I'm learning all about life. I need a quiet home with no children and a stay at home parent who will give me lots of love and attention. I need someone who will take the time to let me warm up to them. I have a dry eye and I will need eye drops for the rest of my life. I promise I am worth the extra effort. After the drops, I like to curl up next to you to say thanks. I would like to have a furry brother or sister to follow ... (Read More)around but I will consider being an only child. Do you have soft treats and squished food? I will need some because I don't have any teeth! If you have been waiting for someone like me, please ask for me on your application to www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Willie 091612-40 (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Yorkie in Arizona
Yorkie Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Yorkshire Terrier is a cute, spunky little dog with a true Terrier temperament. Yorkies can be dog aggressive and wary of strangers. Yorkshire Terriers are loving and devoted to their people and do fine with children who respect them. Yorkies respond well to firm, consistent obedience training but may require patience when housebreaking. They do fine in an apartment but need to play and be taken on a daily walk.
